Deciding Where to Travel? My Top 5 Travel Destinations

There's nothing I love more than exploring new places.

Looking at the world map that I've marked out all the places I've been, so many great memories flood back. At the same time, I feel overwhelmed by how many places I have left to see! The world is so big!

In saying that, I've covered a fair bit of ground in my 32 years roaming the earth. So, when trying to pick my top 5, it really feels like I'm having to decide between my favorite friends.

After some serious thought and all factors considered, here they are:

Where to travel

5. Hikkaduwa Beach, Sri Lanka

My new favorite beach getaway! With a chilled vibe, humble people, incredible beaches and all the while still feeling like it's untouched by tourism.

4. Dumbo, New York, USA

Roaming through the Dumbo neighborhood after a stroll over the Brooklyn Bridge from the Big Apple is a must. A waterside suburb overlooking the Hudson River with a creative flair that will make you want to start your next artwork immediately.

3. Stockholm, Sweden

Stockholm in the summer that is, let's be clear here. When you get to enjoy the bluest skies, longest days, loveliest people - along with waterskiing on crystal lakes and delicious food! Take me back there any summer day.

2. Barcelona, Spain

I find it hard to go past the pull of the creative vibe and interesting culture of Barcelona! Granted I was a backpacking 19-year-old when I first salsa'd the streets of Spain but it's lived in my heart ever since.

1. Horseshoe Bend, Arizona, USA

Standing at the Horseshoe and soaking in this incredible vista is an experience that will take your breath away.

This followed by a dip in the Colorado River is something everyone should put high on their bucket list.
